Can I get a receipt for my ticket?

Yes. To find your receipt:

  • Log in to your Eventbrite account
  • Click Tickets in the drop-down menu on your profile photo in the top-right corner
  • Click GitHub Satellite 2019
  • Click Print Tickets to download and print your ticket confirmation

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?

Yes. You can get a refund if you complete the request process on or before May 15. To request a refund:

  • Log in to your Eventbrite account
  • Click Tickets in the drop-down menu on your profile photo in the top-right corner
  • Click GitHub Satellite 2019
  • Click Request a Refund and complete the form

What should I do if I lose something?

If the event is in progress, stop by the check-in desk to see if someone dropped off your lost item. After the event, send us a note with a description of the item, and we’ll do our best to get it back to you.

Do you accommodate special dietary needs?

We provide at least one vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free food option. If you have additional dietary needs, let us know at least 48 hours in advance, and we’ll do our best to provide an option that works for you.

Is there parking at the venues?

There’s no public parking at our event venues. We recommend you use Berlin’s excellent public transit or take a taxi.

Will there be gender-neutral bathrooms at the venues?

Yes.

Do the venues accommodate mobile disabilities?

Yes. There is an elevator running between all floors of the conference venues and ramps where needed within the conference space.

Will there be a nursing room at the venues?

There will be a nursing room with a refrigerator clearly designated at the Conference Day venue.
Unfortunately the Workshop Day venue doesn’t have a designated space for nursing mothers. If you’re nursing, reach out to events@github.com before the event day, so we can help you find a comfortable space.

Will there be a place for me to store my things at the venues?

There will be a coat-check and storage available for bags at our event venues, but we recommend keeping valuables with you during the event.

No. You will need to be a ticket-holding attendee and have your conference badge to attend the reception.

What is Workshop Day?

Workshop Day is a full day of hands-on learning experiences led by experts about Git, the GitHub platform, GitHub Enterprise, and more.

How can I buy a ticket for Workshop Day?

You’ll have the option to add Workshop Day to your conference experience when you buy your Satellite tickets.

Can I buy a ticket for Workshop Day only?

No. Workshop Day is an add-on experience for people who have purchased a general admission ticket.

Do I need to register in advance for workshops after I’ve bought a Workshop Day ticket?

Yes. Look out for instructions in your inbox after the schedule is published to register for the workshops you’d like to attend—space is limited.

Do I need to download anything in advance for Workshop Day?

An email with instructions will be sent closer to event day which will provide information for being prepared on-site. Installing software prior to event day isn't required.

Do I need a GitHub account for Workshop Day?

Yes. You’ll need a GitHub account (not your GitHub Enterprise username) to participate in some workshops. If you don’t have one, we’d recommend creating an account before Workshop Day.

Will Workshop Day be recorded?

No.

Will Workshop Day include food and beverages?

Yes. We'll have a light breakfast before workshops start and a prepared lunch at 12:00 pm. Beverage service is provided throughout the day.

Yes. We occasionally use photos taken at Satellite by our photographers in promotional materials.

What should I do if I don’t want my photo taken?

Inform our Registration Team when you check in, and they’ll give you a red lanyard to let our photographers know.
